There will be no baseball game in Quincy tonight as the game between the Danville Dans and the Quincy Gems has been postponed due to the heavy rains of today.
This Wednesday is Y101 Night at the Quincy Gems game as they open their home portion of the season with a game against the Springfield Sliders. Y101 will be giving away free t-shirts during the game.
You can't accuse the Cincinnati Bearcats baseball team of of taking things too seriously or being too uptight. Check out the team's antics during post-game television interviews.
Local baseball fans are getting ready for opening day. Unfortunately, both the Quincy Gems and the Hannibal Cavemen will open their seasons on the road on May 28, but both teams will have home games the following night. Quincy will host Springfield, and Hannibal will be visited by Danville. The Gems and Cavemen will not face one another until June 3.
The Quincy Gems just wrapped up another baseball season out at Q.U. Stadium. The season was disappointing only because the Gems were unable to make the playoffs.

Emerald City Jewelers is teaming up with the Blessing Breast Center for this fund-raiser with all proceeds going to the Blessing Breast Cancer's Patient Financial Assistance Fund.
