This Sunday night the Quincy Gems will be hosting the Terre Haute Rex at 6:30.  It will be Pack the Park Pink Diamond Dig Night at the ballpark. Emerald City Jewelers is teaming up with the Blessing Breast Center for this fund-raiser with all proceeds going to the Blessing Breast Cancer's Patient Financial Assistance Fund.

This is a fund used to offset the costs of mammograms which many women are forgoing due to the cost involved.

Here is how it works. For a $25 donation, you will get the opportunity to dig the dirt in the infield to find over $2500 worth of prizes after the game concludes. Among the items buried will be a Diamond Earrings valued at $1200, a Blue Oxicolor Silver Necklace valued at $550.  A Sterling Silver and Diamond Bracelet valued at $299, a Debby Brooks Purse valued at $248, and a Long strand of Pearls valued at $180.

Each person who donates the $25 will be on the infield after the game and will get  a set amount of time to dig and find one treasure each. You must be 18 or older to participate. To participate, you must fill out an entry form and hand deliver it to Emerald City Jewelers at 3236 Broadway in Quincy by 5pm this Saturday.  To get an entry form go to www.emeraldcityjewelers.com.

A special thanks for this promotions goes to Stifel Nicolaus, Landmarx, Pam Jacobs Advertising, a division of Reed Promotional Media, Signs in Time, Bank of Quincy, Expressions by Christine, Inc. and KHQA.

Help the Blessing Breast cancer Patient Financial Assistance Fund by making that donation and wear your pink to the ball game Sunday night. Those earrings and necklaces would look good on you or someone you know.

See you Sunday at the ballpark.
