We are now in November and with it will come colder weather and the urge to light up those fireplaces. For those of you who burn firewood in your fireplace, there is a concern about firewood.  It is known as an infestation of the Emerald Ash Borer and America’s neighborhoods and forests are under attack. The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) beetle has destroyed tens of millions of ash trees. It lives in firewood. If you move firewood you may be helping to spread the destruction. The main carrier of this infestation is people who purchase firewood and haul it to other parts of the country which spreads the problem. If you have any questions regarding the infestation of the Emerald ash Borer there are people and numbers to contact below.
