Time Magazine

When I was a little kid I can remember reading the very popular comic strip Dick Tracy. Tracy was a plain clothes undercover investigator. One of the cool things about Dick Tracy was his famous 2-Way wrist radio that he wore on his left wrist as a wristwatch. The radio wrist watch became the comic strip’s signature icon.

I wasn't able to attend an NFL game this year as I have in the past, but in talking to those of my friends who have attended games, they are losing interest in going simply because of the fans they have to sit near.

Time magazine will be revealing their Person of the Year Award  tomorrow. There are ten finalists. One of the ten finalists happens to be, of all people, Miley Cyrus.

Every day we are bombarded with numbers and statistics about a variety of topics.  So just in case you haven't had your fill, here are some more numbers for you to ponder over a variety of topics, complements of Time Magazine:

Ok. the dust has settled from "Black Friday" and the numbers are coming in from that monumental day of sales.  So Just how much money did you spend shopping on that day after Thanksgiving?

I got my September 24th edition of Time Magazine yesterday and I started to read it.  When I got to page six I saw an editorial on the "Inbox" page that grabbed my attention.   It was written by Douglas B. Smith of Quincy, Illinois. It was the Quincy, Illinois part that caught my eye.

The practice of giving allowance to children seems to be going away.  That could be good or it could be bad. When I was a kid, I don't recall getting allowance. My brother and I would make our own money early in life by shoveling driveways and sidewalks in the neighborhood.

The face of America is changing each and every year with additional foreigners residing in the United States.  I was watching a story about the upcoming election and the ethnic breakdowns of citizens in the country and how the politicians are trying to attract them for votes.

It is going to happen soon. I, The Big Dog, will be the new owner of a Smart Phone. All of my friends have one and they are constantly giving me the business about when am I gonna get one?

Ok, are you ready for this? I was reading Time Magazine and I came across an article about candles and there fragrances for men. This is probably a topic more suitable for women than men.
