Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore is proposing that the City of Quincy should drop the garbage sticker option it has been using, in favor of one of two options which would see a flat fee for all users. The change would allow the City of Quincy to spend the increased monies on needed infrastructure improvements.

The 25th annual Teddy Bear Clinic was held on Sunday, October 6 at Quincy's Blessing Hospital. Youngsters from all over the area brought their favorite teddy bears, stuffed animals or dolls and went through the health stations set up by the student nurses of Blessing Rieman College of Nursing. Today marks the first day of school for the Quincy Public School District, and with it will come decisions to be made by the School Board on a variety of issues. One such issue is random drug testing of students. The Board will meet at Ellington School at 7 p.m. tonight to discuss the drug testing issue.

There is a little town in New Jersey called Wildwood and they are about to set a trend in America's fashion.  Wildwood's City Council is set to pass a law prohibiting "sagging" or baggie pants from being worn in the city's limits.

If you are like me, you read your Quincy Herald Whig daily and it has become commonplace to see one, two or even three stories each night about a methamphetamine arrest for either using or selling the stuff.  There is no doubt there is a meth crisis going on.
