I was reading my Sunday edition of the Quincy Herald Whig when I came across an insert for National Train Day which is Saturday, May 11. The insert was apparently provided and paid for by the Henry County, Illinois Tourism Bureau, The City of Kewanee, Illinois, and the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce and Illinois Mile after Magnificent Mile.

I read with interest the story in the Quincy Herald Whig regarding Adams County Sheriff Brent Fischer's conversations with the Federal officials about possibly housing Federal prisoners temporarily in the Adams County Jail. It is a suggestion by the Sheriff to increase some revenue for the county.  The proposal is being contemplated by the Adams County Board.It got me to thinking

So I opened my Quincy Herald Whig yesterday and there it was,  the headline I had expected which read "Senate OK's immigrant licenses".  Was I surprised?  No, not at all. Am I disappointed?  You bet I am. I'm also mad and mad enough to open my window and yell out the infamous line "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it any more".
