Don’t Recycle Your Christmas Wrapping Paper

If you were saving that used wrapping paper for the recycle bin, you should know that wrapping paper cannot be recycled. It needs to go in the trash, instead.  

Marty Stegeman, the Director of Central Services for the City of Quincy, said in a recent Quincy Herald Whig article that the wax used on wrapping paper is the reason it cannot be recycled. Stegeman also is advising residents to break down the boxes from presents received before putting them in recycling bins.
