The Illinois Veterans Home Quincy and WGEM-TV announced that the 2014 Fourth of July fireworks celebration will once again be held on the Illinois Veterans Home grounds in 2014.  This is the third time in the past four years that the event has taken place there.

The Tri-State Lugnuts Cruise-In Night at the Quincy Mall will be held on Saturday, June 14. It will be drive-in movie night with the movie 'Snake & Mongoose' being shown. A few weeks ago I posted a picture of a flag in Quincy that was tattered and torn and needed to be removed.
