Six String Heros Presentation at Illinois Veterans Home In Quincy

On Wednesday, February 4 something great will happen at the Illinois Veterans Home.

The Quincy Chapter of Six String Heroes will present the Illinois Veterans Home with musical instruments valued at more than $3,500! The presentation will take place at the activities/volunteer office at the Illinois Veterans Home, 12 and Locust in Quincy.

The instruments will be used by the Veterans Home Activities Department. In Quincy, any veteran who honorably served in any branch es eligible, not just combat veterans. The Quincy chapter offers lessons through Vancil Performing Arts Center, the Illinois Veterans Home and Second String Music. Employees of the Quincy office of Blue Cross/Blue Shield are also actively involved in fundraising and supporting the program.
