Oh, Top 'O The Day to Ya! Well, another St. Patrick's Parade is in the books. It was wonderful seeing everyone who came out today to watch the parade and "usher in Spring".
When I first moved to Quincy many moons ago, the first thing I realized was how easy it was to find things in this city. The streets are numbered from the river to almost Liberty going west to east. And the north-south streets are named after presidents, states or trees. Pretty simple.
Yard Waste Collection will resume in Quincy the week of March 14. At that time Evans Recycling will collect yard waste in marked containers and the special yard waste paper bags.
Quincy City Hall will be closed on Monday, February 15, 2016 in observance of President’s Day. City Hall will reopen Tuesday, February 16, for regular business hours.
The hard work and dedication of individuals and organizations to the arts community was honored in Arts Quincy’s annual George M. Irwin Arts Awards which was presented today (Friday) at the Quincy Exchange Club meeting.
