City of Quincy Announces Holiday Schedules

Quincy City Hall will be closed at Noon on Thursday, December 24 and all day Friday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas Holiday.  City Hall will reopen Monday, December 28th, for regular business hours. Quincy City Hall will also be closed on Friday, January 1 in observance of the New Year’s Holiday.  City Hall will be open until 4:30 on Thursday, December 31, New Year’s Eve. City Hall will reopen Monday, January 4, 2016, for regular business hours.

Central Services will be open on Thursday, December 24 from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.  They will be closed on Friday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas Holiday and Friday January 1, 2016 in observance of the New Year’s Holiday.  They will be open regular hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday December 28; New Year’s Eve Thursday, December 31, 2015 and Monday, January 4, 2016.

Garbage and Recycle normally scheduled for Friday will be picked up on Thursday, December 24, 2015 and Thursday, December 31, 2015.

City buses will not be operating on Christmas Day but will operate on their regular schedule on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2015, but will stop running at 4 p.m. New Year's Eve, Thursday, December 31, 2015, buses will run their regular schedule ending at 6 p.m.  The buses will operate on their Sunday/Holiday schedule on New Year’s Day.  That schedule can be found on the city web site - http://www.quincyil.gov/government/CityDepartments/Transit/routes/sundayholiday.
