Quincy’s ever-popular Electric Fountain Brewing coffee bar and roastery is packing up and moving a little closer to downtown Quincy (at least for a short time).

Ryan Christian (aka musician “Cheeks McGee”) and crew are temporarily moving about 1,000 feet down Maine to join, perhaps fittingly, the guys at Second String Music. The coffee shop will be occupying the previously vacant space at 503 Maine.

Electric Fountain Brewing will continue in its current location until Saturday, February 25. No word yet on when their new space will be up and in operation. They’ll be occupying this space until their future location has been fully-renovated.

But in the meantime, you’ll be able to grab some of the area’s best coffee and maybe enjoy an impromptu jam session or two without leaving your seat—depending on how thick the walls are, I suppose.

One of many businesses to revitalize Quincy’s historic District in recent years, Electric Fountain Brewing opened in May of 2017.
