Enjoy Your Birthday Mr. Howell

In the midst of running to and from the radio station on Saturday I had the chance to squeeze in a few minutes to attend Rich Howell's 80th birthday party at Madison Park Church.

Rich and I go back a few years with both of us being Exchange Club members and also board members for the Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers.

Just ask him about the infamous "Brat Cookout" as part of a past Monster Race Event. Now I feel like I belong to more than the average boards and associations in the  area but compared to Rich my list looks quite puny.  This man is involved in so many organizations in the Payson and Quincy area and has helped so many people over the years including getting many children into the Shriner's Hospital for treatment.

Quincy Mayor John Spring was in attendance while I was there and he took the opportunity to present Rich Howell the Key to the City of Quincy for all the work he has done to make our area a great place to live. Congratulations Rich. Hope you had a great "surprise" birthday Saturday and many more to come.
