Y101’s 6th annual Load the Lobby campaign is underway and we are asking for your help. Beginning Friday, November 14 and running through December 12, we are asking that you help us Load the Lobby with new or good used toys for the less fortunate children in the area.
The Salvation Army of Quincy, Illinois officially broke ground on a new Family Thrift Store building this morning. The new building will be located at 425 Broadway across the street from the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, and across 5th Street from the John Gardner Stevenson Family Emergency Shelter & Family Services building.

The Salvation Army will again be distributing electric fans to those in need. The program will begin on Monday, June 2. Fans will be distributed as they are available in both Quincy and Hannibal.
To date, $68,583 has been raised toward the $90,000 goal of The Salvation Army’s 2013 Red Kettle Christmas campaign in Hannibal, Missouri. There are only a few days left to make 2013 tax-deductible contributions, and The Salvation Army encourages the community to make contributions before the end of the year, in order to help us meet the goal.
