Salvation Army ‘Cooling Center’ Opens on Heat Advisory Days
The Salvation Army Kroc Center and Family Services office are open as cooling centers on days when heat advisories are issued, for those who need to get out of the extreme heat.
The Family Services office, at 501 Broadway will be open Monday through Thursday from 1:00-4:00 pm. The Kroc Center, at 405 Vermont St., will be open from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm seven days a week.
Seating and cold water are available during these hours for those needing relief from the heat.
