Things are shaping up to be a perfect night to enjoy chili dogs and the blues at Washington Park tonight. From 5 pm 'til 9 tonight there will be several civic groups participating in selling a variety of chili dogs as a fundraiser during the final Historic Quincy Business District's Blues in The District.
Well, last Friday thousands turned out for "Flames in the District," and thousands may turn out this Friday for "Blues in the District!" The Rusty Wright Band will entertain the attendees at Washington Park for the season finale.
The Lunch in the Park with the Mayor that was originally scheduled for Wednesday, August 28 has been changed to Wednesday, August 21 at noon until 1 p.m. in Washington Park, Quincy, IL.
The Historic Quincy business District will be holding their annual Street Dance in Quincy on Saturday, August 17th. The event, formerly known as "Parrothead Night," will run from 5 to 11 that night and will feature Quincy's own Horndogs at 5:30 followed by The Well Hungarians from St. Louis at 8 p.m.
The season opening Farmer's Market begins this morning at Washington Park in Quincy. Today's opening marks the 31st year for the event which feature fresh vegetables, fruit and plants provided by local farmers in the area.
