Advocacy Network for Children

Advocacy Network for Children is planning a flag raising ceremony in honor of April being National Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month.  The flag raising ceremony is to honor child victims who have been abused, neglected, or have lost their life to abuse or neglect over the years.

The Advocacy Network for Children will hold its annual Biker Bash fundraising and dinner event on Saturday, March 4 at The Ambiance at 5225 Kochs Lane in Quincy.

Advocacy Network for Children will be holding its first “Superhero Family Fun Challenge” on Saturday, October 15th.  The money raised through this event will help with day-to-day operating costs of the agency which provides advocacy for abused and neglected children in nine West Central Illinois counties.

Quincy, IL – Clairice Hetzler, Executive Director of Advocacy Network for Children, made the announcement that she will retire from her position with the agency.

The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Adams County is in need of at least 10 new CASA volunteers.  CASA currently has more than 25 abused and neglected children waiting for a CASA volunteer to speak up for them.  These children desperately need your help to give them hope and be the voice on their behalf.

The Advocacy Network for Children has recently received several grants to enhance their mission of advocating for abused and neglected children in the area. The agency was awarded three grants through the Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois & Northeast Missouri.
