The construction work for the Salvation Army's new Family Store is just about complete and now the process of stocking the store with goods is underway.  With that process comes a need for volunteers to assist them in doing so. So the plea for volunteers has gone out.

The Salvation Army is urgently in need of volunteers to help sort clothing and home goods for the opening of their new Family Store.

Beginning Monday, August 3, volunteers are requested daily Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at their new 425 Broadway location in Quincy. Those interested in helping may arrive during the above hours or call Store Manager, Scott Andrews at 217-506-0229 for more information.

Volunteers are preferred to be ages 18 and up, however youth groups with adequate adult supervision are also encouraged to help. This is also an opportunity to earn additional service hours as well!  The store is anticipating an August opening.
