It has been 39 days since the shooting of 12-year-old Ray Humphrey Jr. of Quincy.  That’s 39 long, excruciating days for the Humphrey family to wait to find out who shot their son.

As the days go by, this crime starts to diminish in the minds of the general public, but it will never leave the minds of Ray’s family, his schoolmates and his friends.  For the killer and the people who may have witnessed this senseless shooting on March 28th, sleeping at night must be difficult as well. Especially for the person who pulled the trigger. That person must live with what happened for the rest of his life.

Plus the shooter needs to also know of all the anxiety and pressure that has now been placed on the witnesses in this incident. The longer the witnesses go without coming forward and talking to the police, the harder it will become to be silent. No one can keep this kind of act to themselves.

A witness will eventually break and tell the cops what they need to hear to make an arrest in this case. It’s just a matter of time. The killer needs to turn himself in now and spare the witnesses of carrying this guilt any longer.
