Hackemack Nominated to Fill Quincy Director of Administrative Services Position

Glenda Hackamack/ City of Quincy

Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore introduced the community to his choice to fill the key Director of Administrative Services role today.  At a news conference in the City Council Chamber this morning, Moore announced that he is placing Glenda Hackemack before the City Council for confirmation to the number two position in his administration.

“Finding the right Director of Administrative Service has been a priority for me, and I have spent the last 5 weeks seeking the right person to serve in this role. The search process netted 12 qualified applicants, and I was impressed by the deep pool of leadership talent that exists in our community,” said Moore.

Hackemack currently serves as the Executive Director of the West Central Illinois Center for Independent Living. Previously, she served as the Executive Director of the Quincy YWCA.

Hackemack, 44, is a graduate of Warsaw High School and earned a BA in Business Management from Western Illinois University. She has served as the Executive Director of the West Central Illinois Center for Independent Living for 7 years and as Executive Director of the Quincy YWCA for the preceding 5 years. In both roles she had extensive dealings with the Planning & Development, Police and Fire Departments. She has been actively involved as a leader in professional organizations, and has served the community through involvement with Madonna House, United Way of Adams County, Quincy Chamber of Commerce, Little People’s Golf Tournament, and Quincy Blue Devil Football Booster Club. She lives in Quincy, is a member of Bethany United Church of Christ, and has 2 daughters, ages 20 and 18

If confirmed, Hackemack will start working for the city on July 8, 2013. She will have a one year, renewable contract and will earn a salary of $75,000.00, plus a $300.00 monthly auto allowance and the standard city employee benefits package.
