With the combination of it being Dogwood Festival weekend and the City of Quincy celebrating it's 175th Anniversary as a charter city, there will be plenty of music to enjoy. The music will be flowing at the Washington Theatre and on Maine Street in Quincy.

As part of Dogwood Saturday, there will be four concerts being held in the Washington Theatre. The music begins at noon with Liz Bentley performing followed by Kayla Obert at 1:30, Cheeks McGee at 3 and Avenue Beat at 4:30. There is no charge but donations will be accepted.

The Dogwood Bash will begin on Maine Street at 4 p.m and go until 11:30 p.m.  There will be two stages with stage one at 5th and Maine and stage two at 8th and Maine Streets. The music starts with the first of five bands playing. The Britins will get things started at 4 p.m. on stage one followed by Jared & The Gentlemen at 5 p.m. on stage two. Then the Super Majik Robots perform on stage one at 6:45 with Madd Hoss Jackson playing on stage 2.  The band Plastic will wrap up the evening with a performance on stage one beginning at 9:30.

There will be food and beverages available for purchase throughout the evening on Maine Street. Make sure you bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the free concerts. In the event of rain the bands will perform at the Oakley Lindsay Center.

Sunday's music will take place at Clat Adams Park on the riverfront in Quincy. Following the 3 p.m. city-wide All-Faith Celebration, there will be a Christian Concert featuring recording artists Jonny Diaz, JJ Weeks Band and Unspoken. This concert is also free to attend and remember to bring your lawn chair with you.
