The Quincy Gems are looking for host families for the 26 collegiate baseball players that make up the Gems Baseball team during the upcoming season. Hosting a Quincy Gems player can be a rewarding experience for the host family especially if that player goes on to become a Major League ballplayer. Even if he doesn't, Gem's players are excellent role models for young children and teenagers, and are great company for the entire household. Often, players and host families build a friendship that lasts well beyond the end of the season. Host families receive two free season tickets, and get recognized during Host Family Night during the season. Hosts provide living accommodations and some meals. For more information on becoming a Host Family contact the Quincy Gems at 223-1000. It'll be a summer you will never forget.
