Three Deaths in Missouri Due to Drowning
Three separate accidents in the past week leaves three dead on Missouri waterways.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 77 year-old Don King from Pleasant Hill, Missouri drowned in a pond in Cass County April 17. A private citizen found the body and an unoccupied kayak floating nearby.
A 56-year-old Kansas City man, Shannon Kincade, drowned in Clay County April 20. Troopers say he attempted to swim out to a rock dike on the Missouri River when he went under. Witnesses pulled Kincade from the water but attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
On Thursday, 59-year-old Keith Wagner of St. Charles County lost his balance while walking on the dock at a West Alton marina. Wagner fell into the Mississippi River and was unable to swim to safety.
