The World Cup Began Yesterday. Do You Even Care?

The World Cup Soccer Tournament got underway yesterday and will run through July 13 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The host country is one of the favorites to win it all with the American team given just a slight chance to capture the championship.

The American team is in Group "G" which is considered by many to be one of the toughest groups involved. Germany is favored to win that group. When it comes to soccer, the United States compared to the rest of the world, seems to pay very little attention to the sport. We don't even call it by it's real name of football (oh yeah, we already have a sport called that).

With that said, in this area soccer seems to be the sport of choice for most parents for their kids to play. It is a sport you either love or hate.  For some, there isn't enough action. For others there is plenty of action going on during a game. So I ask the following questions, do you like soccer or not? If you do, will you be watching the World Cup?
