Illinois State A.A.U.Tumbling and Trampoline Championships This Saturday in Quincy

Gem City Gymnastics and Tumbling and the City of Quincy are hosting the 2013 Illinois AAU Tumbling and Trampoline State Championships tomorrow at the Oakley Lindsay Center in  Quincy. More than 325 athletes, including 30 from Gem City Gymnastics and Tumbling, representing 25 gyms are registered to compete.

Boston Marathon Bombers: One Suspect Captured; One Dead [UPDATED]

The second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing has been captured. Dzokhar Tsarnaev was taken into police custody Friday night -- five days after the bombing that left three dead and left more than 100 injured, police said. The 19-year-old was apprehended after a manhunt that began Thursday night with the fatal shooting of an MIT officer and extended into the evening hours on Friday.

Forever Kelton Warrior Weekend Golf Event Postponed Until April 26th

Today marks the one year anniversary of the birthday of Kelton Christopher James Peter, the son of Stephanie and Chris Peter of Quincy.  For eight days after his birth Kelton battled to survive from a rare genetic birth defect called Trisomy 13. Kelton lost his battle to live on the eighth day.
