Wavering Aquatic Center

The 34 year history of Wavering Aquatic Center will come to an end this Sunday as the Quincy Park District will close the doors of the center at 6 p.m. not only for the season, but for forever. Sunday will be the last day for swimmers to enjoy the pool they have had since 1981.

When the Fourth of July arrives, people plan outdoor activities like watching fireworks, picnics and a visit to the local swimming pool. If you choose to do the latter in Quincy you will have only one option this weekend and that option is Indian Mounds Pool.

The Quincy Park District wants your children to be safe by learning how to swim.

The Quincy Park District will be opening the Wavering Aquatic Center and Indian Mounds Pool for the summer on Saturday, May 24. This summer the Park District will be holding BOGO (buy one & get one free) Admission Days on Tuesdays at Wavering Pool and Thursdays at Indian Mounds Pool....

As long as the Excessive Heat Warnings are in effect the two Quincy Park District aquatic centers are a cheap means of cooling down.  The Quincy Park District's Indian Mounds and Wavering Aquatic Centers have reduced their admission to just one dollar.
