Tornado Warning

The spring severe storm season usually brings with it tornado watches and tornado warnings. So what is the difference?

Following a bout of severe weather that passed through the area on Wednesday night, residents of Monroe City are now cleaning up debris scattered throughout the town. Monroe County was under a tornado warning on Wednesday, and Monroe County Sheriff's deputies report that a tornado did touch down south of Madison.

Well, there used to be a Tornado Season in the Midwest but no more. It's basically all year round. With that said it amazes me that there are still many people who do NOT know the difference between a "Watch " and a "Warning".
