The Quincy Public Library closed at 11 am this morning due to a water main break. According to Ruth Cuthbertson, the Marketing and Events Manager, the Library plans to reopen Tuesday, December 17 at 9 am.
The City of Quincy is considering privatizing the collection of garbage and recycling instead of using the sticker program it has used for years. Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore is proposing that the City of Quincy should drop the garbage sticker option it has been using, in favor of one of two options which would see a flat fee for all users.
