Prom and Graduation Season is Upon Us

All the girls are picking their prom dresses and the guys hopefully are getting a tuxedo.It is prom time, which should be one of the highlights of the school year. It is all about the dresses and the tuxes. And that is the way it should be.

With that being said, distractions, carelessness, fatigue and inexperience can cause a great night to be a very bad night.

Our friend from the Illinois State Police, Mike Kindhart, reminds us that troopers will be conducting high visibility patrols with aggressive enforcement of "Distracted Driving" and the Fatal Four violations which are DUI, Speeding, Seat Belt and Distracted Driving.

Please make this year's prom and graduation drug and alcohol free, and be sure to buckle up. If you don't, you could pay a heavy price with fines or even you life. Please be safe.
