I was at lunch the other day and struck up a conversation with the waitress regarding the nice cool days and evenings we have had this week and she responded the she was actually "cold". Well, that was the wrong thing to say to a guy who "sweats in a blizzard". I happen to love the recent weather with low humidity and lots of sunshine.

Before you know it, we will be shoveling snow around here and we will all be wanting this "cold" weather.  To prove my point, the Old Farmer's Almanac is predicting that this winter will be especially cold and according to the Almanac the worst months will be December, January and February. After reading that, I said to myself "Isn't that almost the entire Winter?" I go back to my statement, we will all be wanting this "cold" weather we have now.

For many, the Old Farmer's Almanac, which began in 1793, is second only to the Bible. What is written in the Old Farmer's Almanac is believed to be Gospel. For me, after reading this forecast, perhaps I should start to read the New Farmer's Almanac. That Almanac is calling for sunshine filled days and 75 degrees all winter long. Oh, if only there were a New Farmer's Almanac.
