A new Junior Police Academy is being held this summer in a collaboration between the Quincy Police Department and the Quincy Park District on Wednesday mornings.

The Academy will feature different aspects of the Police Department including bike safety with a police bicycle on display this Wednesday. The Academy will feature events like a canine demonstration with the Police canine dog, a fingerprinting session and a model police car on display. Snacks will also be provided for each meeting for all attendees.

The Academy is free for all youngsters and is held on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. at the Frederick Ball Center in Quincy and will be held each Wednesday through July 22nd. Q.P.D. officers will be providing a variety of weekly lessons, with the goal of increasing positive student awareness and trust in our police officers.
