Do you remember seeing REO Speedwagon at the Riverfront Amphitheater in Hannibal? What about Destiny's Child at the Oakley Lindsay Center, or Styx at Quincy Raceways? Let's look back at some of the best concerts the Quincy/Hannibal area has hosted over the decades!

Along time ago in a place far away, well not so far away, we were rocking Hannibal, Missouri. There was this place back in the 1980s that we were drawn to for music and fun. The Riverfront Amphitheater. Hannibal was a stopping point for some of the greatest musicians ever to hit the Midwest. People like Jefferson Starship, The Beach Boys, The Outfield, The Bangles, Ted Nugent, and REO Speedwagon, just to name a few. It was a magical time in Hannibal. And talk about a view, the ampitheater was right on the river. Good in some ways, bad in another. The musicians on a summer night in Hannibal would be singing songs and swallowing bugs like crazy. And don't forget about the big Bob Dylan show at the ampitheater. Bob Dylan had the volume up so loud that the Hannibal Police Department gave Bob a ticket for too much noise.

Destiny's Child came to the Oakley Lindsay Center in 2000. I remember that well. Kelly gave me a kiss! Styx, Eddie Money and Starship played at Quincy Raceways. Bret Michaels has been to Quincy a couple times in recent years, and we've seen The Marshall Tucker Band at Clemens Field. Not to mention all of the country acts that play around the area each summer.

Of all the concerts that have been held in the Quincy/Hannibal area, which ones did you enjoy the most? How many can you remember?
