The Quincy Public Schools Board of Education, Superintendent Roy Webb and several Quincy Public School Coaches (who have volunteered their time) have put together a very special day today for some outstanding students. An amazing group of kids from Teen Reach have earned the opportunity to play a special kickball game on the turf of Flinn Stadium this afternoon.
On Saturday, August 4, at 10:30 a.m., Quincy Public Schools will host a building dedication ceremony to commemorate the opening of the Iles Elementary School located at 3111 N. 12th Street.

Locally, the Quincy Senior High School Basketball Blue Devils captured the Illinois State 2A Championship with a win over Proviso East High School and the Liberty Eagles took 4th place after losing to Cairo in Champaign in the Class 1A Basketball Tournament.
