Avenue Beat, a group of local musicians consisting of Savana Santos, Sam Backoff and Sami Bearden, will perform on April 5 as part of a benefit for Lena Thomas, a Quincy woman and mother of seven children, who is battling ovarian cancer.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, Avenue Beat will be at the Kia store inside Quincy Mall. Kia will be making a donation to Lena Thomas for every person that comes through the door during their performance.

One of the members of Avenue Beat is Savana Santos, the Quincy girl that recently auditioned for 'The Voice.' Savana was able to make it far enough in the contest to sing in front of celebrity judges Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher. While she was not chosen to advance in the competition, a portion of her audition appeared on national television.

Savana came to visit us in the Y101 studio after her experience on 'The Voice.' Watch our interview with Savana Santos below.
