The Hannibal Arts Council will present the Wild & Wacky Art Adventure, a FREE hands-on arts festival for kids 3 to 12 and their families, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, August 3 in Hannibal’s Central Park. During the course of an investigation conducted by the Quincy Police Department, a juvenile was arrested and taken into custody for the recent vehicular burglaries that occurred in the area of 14th-24th/York to Kentucky during the overnight hours on 7-22-13 to 7-23-13. An adult suspect also connected with these burglaries is currently incarcerated in Iowa and formal charges are pending against him.

The Hannibal Arts Council will host a week-long visual art camp for students ages 13 to 16 beginning July 22. The camp will provide participants with in-depth opportunities to work alongside local artists, learn about a variety of art forms and create their own original art. Instructors are Josh McCurdy (pottery), Joe Conover (encaustic), Brenda Benson (3-D mixed media), Carol Gilliland (wire work) and Pat Kerns (powdered graphite).
