American Red Cross Encourages Donors to Give Early

The American Red Cross is asking donors to give blood before the holiday season.

Blood donations often decline between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day as people get ready for the holidays. The donations are needed in the weeks leading up to the holidays to help prevent seasonal declines. Donors of all types,especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative are needed now to help maintain a stable blood supply.

Here are some upcoming blood drives in the Quincy,Illinois area. On November 3, 2014   a blood drive will be held at Payson Seymour High School, 420 Brainard and in Quincy a blood drive will be held at the Quincy Mall on November 10, 2014 from 12 - 6.
