A Camp Point man is arrested for allegedly leaving the scene of a fatal accident around 4 a.m. Saturday. 

Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies responding to the area of Highway 24 and Spring Lake Drive found a man seriously injured after his bicycle was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle. A short time later, deputies located an abandoned vehicle with damage consistent with the accident. The investigation led to the arrest of 21-year-old Colton J. Walker of Camp Point. Walker was taken to the Adams County Jail.

Deputies report the bicyclist was pronounced dead at Blessing Hospital at 5:23 a.m. Saturday. He is identified as 62-year-old Michael L. Pulliam.

The Illinois State Police is assisting with the investigation, and additional charges may be filed. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
