A Self Checkout Employee Party? – Millions in Missouri Invited!

I've seen friends accepting a request for a very peculiar Christmas party. It's been created for all those who go through the self checkout at Walmart and I've learned millions in Missouri are invited.

I have probably a dozen friends who have already responded to this fun Facebook event page entitled "Walmart Self Check out Employee Christmas Party". I took a screenshot to prove that I'm not making it up.

Look at those numbers. Over 310,000 people have responded and over 68,000 say they are going? Incredible.

What does this have to do with Missouri?

Let's do some Walmart math. Walmart's corporate site says the company has a total of 156 retail units in Missouri. Last time I checked, there were over 6,000,000 people that live in Missouri. Let's estimate that half of those have gone to Walmart at some point in time. I'm estimating conservatively that at least 1 out of every 3 Missourians has gone through the self-checkout area at least once. That brings us to around a million Missouri self-checkout employees. Yay.
