Where Have All the Christmas Carolers Gone?

There was a time in this country when people would actually go around different neighborhoods as a group and sing Christmas carols. That day is long gone...or is it? Just because I am not aware of it doesn't mean that there aren't any carolers out there. I would love to know if you have run into any neighborhood carolers. If not, why has this tradition gone away? Are people too busy? Nobody interested in organizing it?

If so, it is a shame because it was just one of those Christmas memories that made Christmas what it is ...something very special.
