Traffic Jam at Noon?

I came out of my office today for lunch, got in my F-150 to go to lunch. I got on Broadway for my way home and all of a sudden it was traffic gridlock.

I mean, it happened like that. Really fast. Traffic between 3oth and 24th on Broadway came to a halt for what seemed like 10 to 20 minutes. Then drivers became dare devils trying to get on side roads so they could escape this horror. I still don't know why. Just one of those traffic things, I guess.

I and the rest of the world were going west on Broadway and we were stopped at the intersection of 24th and Broadway. It might have been a traffic light malfunction, all I know is I saw an alley just up ahead and I headed for it. And Yes, I made it free along with other alley cats that followed me. Then, we were free of the traffic that made my lunch cold.  Thanks you for alley's.
