Man, if I would've known what I know now I would defiantly gone to a community college before a four-year university, because Quincy has one of the best community colleges in Illinois.

John Wood Community College is ranked 23 out of 77 of being the very best in community colleges, and it's no surprise. We all know what the college does not only for young students, but for those of us who have busy lives with families and jobs, but want to gain more knowledge or pursue a new career. They offer such a variety of classes that even if you don't know what you want to be when you grow up, they have classes to help you decide.

Wallethub.com compared 650 community colleges and from all their findings found that John Wood Community College was one of the best in the state of Illinois and gave the school an overall score of 47.76. The score is based on 19 key indicators of cost and quality. How cool is it knowing we have one of the best community colleges right here in Quincy? Big congrats going out to JWCC, and here's hoping the college keeps growing and getting better and better.

I'm truly impressed with what JWCC offers to students and actually looking to better my education with a few additional classes to help me. So, for high school seniors this year, if you're thinking about heading to community college first know that if you pick JWCC you will be going to a top-rated community college, and saving a ton of money!
