Just two days ago the price for a gallon of gasoline in Quincy was $3.28 a gallon. Forty-eight hours later it went up and now it jumped again today.  Gas is now $3.39 a gallon in the city.

I think they look for any reason to up the price, so I suppose the news of Jim Nabors (aka Gomer Pyle on the Andy Griffith Show) coming out of the closet caused this spike. Just two days ago I was in Hannibal and filled up my vehicle at a price of under $3.20 a gallon. And one week ago I was in Ft. Collins, Colorado and the cost for a gallon of gasoline there was $2.79. That was before the news of Gomer Pyle broke.

There are a lot of hard working people out there but I believe the hardest working are those who keep having to change the prices on the gas station marquees.
