Thieves are Stealing WHAT in Missouri Walmart & Target Stores?

You can't see this, but I'm shaking my head in disbelief right now and I'm pretty sure you will to once you hear what thieves are stealing from Missouri Walmart and Target stores now.

What I'm about to share is hopefully not a sign of where our society is in 2024 as a culture otherwise we're in big trouble. I was so shocked at what I first saw on Reddit that I did more research to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. Sadly, it's very true.

City Data is just one of the many sites reporting that Missouri Walmart and Target stores are having so many people stealing underwear (yes, under thingies), some stores are actually being forced to lock them up behind glass. Think about that for a second. Shoplifting underwear. I shake my head.

This apparently started on the west coast (thanks, California) according to reports from the San Francisco Bay area.

Anecdotal note: I investigated our local Missouri and Illinois Walmart stores and don't see locked up undies - yet. It's probably just a matter of time.

The US Sun echoed that report of Walmart and Target stores locking up underwear. This is second only in shock factor to the news that many Target stores were also now having to put security devices on deodorant.

My small Safeway store in a relatively good neighborhood recently placed LARGE containers of laundry detergent behind locked cases.

C'mon 2024. We're only days into you and you're already freaking us out with people shoplifting underwear, deodorant and laundry detergent?
