There are so many beautiful and historic homes in Quincy (just take a walk up and down Maine and Hampshire). However, this house--which is for sale, by the way--is going viral by way of a really interesting Facebook page.

If you haven't already, check out For The Love of Old Houses on Facebook. They post pictures from all over the country of historic homes. One of their recent posts caught my eye when I saw the address: 1850 Jersey, Quincy Illinois. The awesome part about this Facebook group is that they give you a little history about the house they are featuring.

Built in 1900, this house is over 4,000 square feet. And if you love stone, then you will fall in love with this house. Two fireplaces, a staircase, four bedrooms, two and a half baths on 0.46 acres. It does need a little updating (in my opinion), but that's the fun in buying a new home; you get to put your own spin on it.

Now, I would love to buy this house. There would definitely be enough room for my family and lots of parties, but it's a little out of my price range at $425,000. But it is still beautiful to look at. And just think, whoever buys this house will own a piece of Quincy history.
