One of Quincy's most used parks is Madison Park, right in the heart of Quincy. The Quincy Park District is hosting several free events in the park at 24th and Maine. Kid friendly events like a comic juggler on June 11 and a variety show by the Quincy Public Library on July 23.

Hey Westview, Why not a Driving Range Screen for a Money Maker?

It appears the plan to change the third nine holes at Westview Golf Course in Quincy has run into a stone wall.  During a 90 minute open to the public meeting, 19 members of the public took the opportunity to speak and the ideas of Westview Golf Pro Matt Burry to make the changes were not supported by a majority there.

On Wednesday the news broke that the Quincy Park District was going to develop a new park on the sight of the new Quincy Park District offices on Bonansinga Drive in Quincy. With the new park comes word that the Park District would like for the public to have input into the naming of the park. I am sure there are plenty of names that will be forthcoming as ideas but a friend mine suggested El Tappe Park. To which I say, "public input over".
