Local baseball fans are getting ready for opening day. Unfortunately, both the Quincy Gems and the Hannibal Cavemen will open their seasons on the road on May 28, but both teams will have home games the following night. Quincy will host Springfield, and Hannibal will be visited by Danville. The Gems and Cavemen will not face one another until June 3.
August 7, 2012 The Quincy Gems just wrapped up another baseball season out at Q.U. Stadium. The season was disappointing only because the Gems were unable to make the playoffs.
July 24, 2012 This Sunday night the Quincy Gems will be hosting the Terre Haute Rex at 6:30. It will be Pack the Park Pink Diamond Dig Night at the ballpark. Emerald City Jewelers is teaming up with the Blessing Breast Center for this fund-raiser with all proceeds going to the Blessing Breast Cancer's Patient Financial Assistance Fund.
