It's probably safe to say the we've entered carnival season. There will be carnival rides at this weekend's New London Park Days, the county fairs will be beginning soon, and of course we have events like National Tom Sawyer Days and the K of C Barbecue to look forward to. As a kid, events weren't worth going to unless there were carnival rides involved. What were (or still are) your favorite rides?

This is THE guide to everything for this year's celebration, including times and locations for the popular annual events, and the new activities that are being introduced. I love this time of year because of the Hannibal Jaycees. They know how to throw a party. National Tom Sawyer Days is one of my favorite places to be. From the National Fence Painting Contest to a Frog Jumping Contest to Live entertainment at Tanyard Gardens, there is always something to do in Hannibal!

Thursday night, as part of the National Tom Sawyer Days festivities, the media division of the annual Mud Volleyball tournament was held.
Thousands of people lined the streets of downtown Hannibal Wednesday morning to attend the annual National Tom Sawyer Days Parade. Activities will continue throughout the day, including: Arts and crafts at Central Park, the Jones & C0mpany Carnival on Broadway, live entertainment at Tanyard Gardens in the evening, and fireworks at dusk. He
