With the weather as hot as it was over the weekend, it turned out to be a "lost" weekend as far as doing the things I wanted to do. I did manage to make it to Blues in the District Friday night, and while there I ran into a guy from Hannibal who recognized me. Then I met a guy and his wife from Kansas who was there as well. Saturday, I ventured out for dinner and struck up a conversation from some people from Arkansas, Indiana and Florida. Just by chance these occurrences all took place. It almost felt like I was around more "outsiders" than "locals."  It got me to thinking about just how mobile our society is.

March 11 has always brought memories and good times for me.  My father was born on March 11 and every year we would celebrate his birthday and every year he would get the same birthday gift from me.
