So here it is, the post season for Major League Baseball. Ten of the 30 teams made it to post-season this year. In the National League the Chicago Cubs won the Central Division, the Los Angeles Dodgers captured the Western Division and the Washington Nationals the Eastern Division. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies were the wild card teams in the National League this year.

In the American League, the Boston Red Sox won the East, the Houston Astros won the West and the Cleveland Indians captured the Central Division. The New York Yankees and the Minnesota Twins were the wild-card teams.

So with the teams set, I thought it would be a good time to go back and see how my pre-season picks did. Back on April 3, I posted the following.

"In the National League East, I am picking the Washington Nationals to win the division. In the National League Central, I am going with the Chicago Cubs. The winner of the National League West will be the San Francisco Giants.  My picks for wildcards will be the Los Angeles Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals. The winner of the National League title will be the Cubs.

In the American League, I am picking the Boston Red Sox to win the East with the Cleveland winning the Central and the Houston winning the West. The wildcards teams will be the New York Yankees and the Kansas City Royals. The American League title winner will be Houston".

Well, I surprisingly picked 3 of the 5 National League teams and 4 of the 5 American League teams. So, I actually picked eight out of the ten teams.  I can live with that. My worst pick was the Giants who finished dead last in the National League this year.  My World Series pick has the Astros beating the Cubs. We will all know in a few weeks.
