I saw an article in a recent magazine about PIN numbers and how easy they are to steal. We all protect our Social Security Number and our computer passwords but we aren't so protective when it comes to our PIN numbers.

You will only be asking for problems if you select a PIN number of 1111 or 1234. Your birth date is not a good idea either as thieves are on to that as well. You might choose a favorite saying and find the corresponding number to the first letter of the words in the saying. It would be tougher for a criminal to decipher it. The article listed pin numbers one should not use.  These are the top 10 numbers thieves would love for you to have.

  • 1234
  • 0000
  • 2580 (a top to bottom keypad sequence)
  • 1111
  • 5555
  • 5683 (spells LOVE)
  • 0852 (a bottom to top keypad sequence)
  • 2222
  • 1212
  • 1998

If you have one of these numbers you might want to consider changing it. Just a constructive suggestion from 843244364 (The Big Dog).
